Ethiopia: Enterprise to Build Office Complex

 The Oromia Forest and Wildlife Enterprise Monday laid the cornerstone for its administration office at Bole and another building at Lidetta. The new G+20 administration building at Bole would reflect the culture and traditional assets of the Oromo people.

 
Laying the cornerstone, State Chief Mukitar Kedir said that the building manifests the Oromo people of forest conservation. The Enterprise is actively promoting forest conserving agenda through various forest protection mechanisms, he added.
 
Muktar said that the Enterprise is doing its level best towards the protection of wild lives and conserving state flora and fauna. The State Chief also called on the public to be vigilant in responding swiftly for forest conservation activities in the country.
 
Enterprise Director General Didha Driba on his part said that enhancing forest coverage would help in protecting wild animals. Accordingly, the Enterprise is moving forward focusing on forest development, park establishment and protection as well as motivating the public towards natural resources conservation , he added.
 
The new building would lie on 2,500 square meter and the building is designed to reflect the symbol of mango implying more priority for forestation. Currently, over two million hectares of land is covered with natural forest and 62,000 hectare with man-made forest in the state, he added.
 
According to him, the buildings to be constructed at Bole and Lideta areas will consume 330 million Birr and 130 million Birr respectively. They are scheduled to be completed in five years time.
